FAQ

1.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can help. Whether you're working through a specific issue or seeking personal growth, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

2.

What can I expect from the first session?

We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any questions you have. You’ll leave with a sense of direction and what our work together might look like.

3.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. Virtual therapy sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. This gives you flexibility and privacy from the comfort of your own space.

4.

Do you accept insurance?

I’m a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance. However, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.

5.

What are your fees?

Please contact me for current session rates. I also offer a concierge therapy package for those seeking deeper, more flexible support.

6.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, but we can adjust frequency based on your needs, goals, and progress.

7.

What is Creative Arts Therapy? Do I have to be artistic?

Creative Arts Therapy uses expressive techniques, like drawing, movement, or imagery, to help you explore emotions that may be hard to put into words. It’s a powerful tool for trauma recovery, emotional processing, or simply connecting with yourself in a new way. You absolutely don’t need to consider yourself creative or artistic. It’s about expression, not performance, and it's always optional and guided with care.

8.

What is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a structured approach that teaches powerful skills for managing emotions, improving relationships, and staying grounded during distress. It’s especially helpful if you struggle with emotional regulation, intense feelings, or impulsivity. In our work together, I integrate DBT skills like mindfulness, boundary-setting, and distress tolerance in a way that’s tailored to your needs, so you can build emotional resilience at your own pace.
